what are your funny cat stories?

When my dad moved in when I was a teen his girlfriend brought her 2 rescue cats with her. One cat didn’t want anything to do with our 2 labs however Ollie became a dog lover on his own terms as cats do.

We lived in a pub it had 2 bars one of which was for the locals and so had the 2 dogs in, however the cats went where they pleased. We always allowed dogs into the pub as it was a country pub. 2 Gents had come in with their 2 black labs after a shoot. The labs happily settled under their table near the fire. Ollie walked up to them and rubbed his head lovingly over one of the labs (thinking they were his labs!) He came face to face with an angry labrador who was not very cat friendly which sent them off barking.

Ollie ran for his little life a bit bemused even though the dogs were on leads. the owners of the dogs apologized but we couldn’t help but laugh i could imagine ollie saying "YOUR NOT MY DOGS!"

what are your funny cat stories??

I literally have the world’s sweetest, DUMBEST cat. I have three funny stories about my Hudson:

    1. When he was a kitten he didn’t understand that when he was chasing things he could take a different route than them, so if he was chasing a ball he would follow it exactly… which means slamming into the walls before changing direction.

    2. Once after a house party my mom had (where he was the center of attention, as usual) we were cleaning up and he got into the shopping bag full of ribbons and couldn’t figure out how to get out. He went streaking through the house at top speed, with a bag shedding ribbons over his head, and I finally had to (as gently as possible) tackle him to get it off. Five minutes later he was running around the house panicked… with the same bag over his head.

    3. My little sister was five when we got him, and she and her friends would dress my cat up in these horrible outfits and carry him around for hours. He never bit or scratched anyone. One time they even built a "castle" (an overturned box on one of the girl’s heads, and put him in it. He fell asleep in his pretty pink princess dress and hat)

Before I get called out on animal cruelty for that last one; we have two other cats, one who is ill tempered and one who was abused and is shy. We tell the kids not to bother them. We’ve told them not to bother Hudson, but he comes running as soon as people are around and has known to purr while being surrounded by little girls, so we figure as long as they aren’t hurting him, it’s all good.

It was valentine’s day (i kid you not). My young cat had a beanie baby cat his size that he use to chew on and play with. One day I came home from school, and witness my cat on top of the beanie baby toy cat, humping away for the first time, on MY bed.

So basically i witnessed my cat losing his cherry to a beany baby stuffed toy cat on valentines day.

I lived with a girlfriend who had three young kids – one was a boy around 5 years old and he was very impressionable. He looked to me as some kind of role model (for what reason, I surely don’t know…).

We lived in a mobile home and the girlfriend had a cat. During the summer, we would let the cat go outside to enjoy nature. When he was ready to come back in, he would jump on the screen door and "MEOW, MEOW!" If I was busy in the kitchen, I would yell at the cat, "GET OFF THE DOOR! a few times before finally going outside, peeling the cat from the door and tossing it up on the roof.

This may sound cruel, but it was a kind of game that the cat liked to play. He always found his way down using a tree that grew beside the house.

One day, however, when the cat jumped on the door, and before I could say anything, I heard my girlfriend’s son yelling at the cat: "GET OFF THE DOOR!" After one or two more "GET OFF THE DOOR" warnings, I heard the door open….

All of a sudden, I heard this blood curdling "YAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!".

I raced out the door and found him locked in combat with the cat. When all was said and done, the kid had multiple souvenirs scratched into his face.

I know he was in pain, but I couldn’t help laughing until my sides hurt.

our morbidly obese cat (30+ lbs.) was always an only cat. we did have a small dog but they got along great. well, one day she was chilling on the front porch when someone came walking by with their huge dalmation. i’m not sure what got into her, but her fur stood straight up and she charged at this massive dog.

it was so hilarious to see this plump ball of fur run as fast as she could to chase away the dog.

    RIP spike & sweetie <3

I have two house cats, Jensen & Kiera. We also have a 100lb lab, J.D. & and aussie mix, Max. Kiera will use her hanging mouse and bat it so it continously hits the lab in the head…when after 15minutes of this gets no reaction from him she moves on to Max. She waits till he’s sleeping slowly walks up to him bats him in the head and runs under the chair. He wakes up looking around then falls back asleep and she will do this until we feel bad for him and put him on the couch with us. What makes this funnier with the lab part. He kills woodchucks & badgers without getting a scratch on him…but Kiera and kids can torment him all day and he just wags his giant tail.

One Saturday, I woke up and went downstairs. My cat, Fizzy, is a big ginger and white tom. I walked past the sofa and heard thudding behind me. Fizzy was chasing me! I ran but he jumped and bit my a*s!
Another time – I called my cat. He came running and looked at me. "Meeooooowwwww!" Then he jumped up the wall and came sliding down. (Do you know the part near where the door shuts?" I laughed and then Fizzy, still holding on, turned his head to look at me and whacked it on the wall. I laughed and then Fizzy, giving his loud meow of disapproval, ran away somewhere. I was LMAO

    Hope i helped, MegzieB :)
