exactly!!! i have 4 cairns a one is a very light tan and every one thinks he is a westie!! it is soooo funny that people think they know the breed of the cairn when they dont know a fuck about them!!!

i love all dogs but a cairn is a singular creature. they are the most expressive, loving and soulful companions. to know one is to love all. i’ll never be without a cairn.

@JewishVegan Cairns and Westies are essentially closely related so sometimes the Westie looks like a Cairn and vice versa. I’ve seen many Cairns that look like Westies, not only the coat colour, but the facial structure.

Silly that people would say this isn’t a cairn – looks just like my Shandy, who is a cream brindle, and was gray/brownish when she was little. Now she looks like Terry’s twin. Cairns change colors all the time, (from year to year, even…) I have several, and they have each changed dramatically in appearance. My cairns play like this with kittens, and our cats, but my puppies are raised with the cats in the home from day 1. They don’t let the neighbors’ cats into our yard, however.

@JewishVegan Terry is a twin for our Cairn Lexi, except Lexi had a pink nose.
