yeah i can confirm that !!! they re so attached to humans, sometimes a bit “doggish” as my dad says. mine wil run after me everytime i leave the room, walk “by foot” in every room i go without me tellin him too. plus he s playin catch and run really good with me – sometimes even clapping his paw on my thigh and then quickly running away for me to catch him (yeah right ;)

this one looks just like my boy when he was small *sigh*

How did you manage to do that? My new seal boy kind of fetches, he chases it, picks it up, starts heading towards me, then vears off in another direction…lol!

My burmese does that too…he’s lilac. He’s more dog then he is cat. He does it with actuall sticks and drops then right at your feet. If he’s in a playful mood he will go outside and get a stick drop it at your feet and stare at you until you throw it. Burmese are well know for that…cool isn’t it.

Which breed is better? Burmese, tonkinese, traditional siamese or traditional balinese?

Well, as much as I love Burmese & Siamese, if there were a Miss Universe of the cat world, in my opinion, it would have to be the Birman for both beauty & personality plus, plus, plus!

We had a good girl! She was really like some dogcat… played fetch, sleeped by our feet – or on our aching part (!) and waked everyone. She had a taste for music: she loved russian mens choirs performance. And spirituals sung by male singers. R.I.P.
    Your Shiloh is ah-so-sweet!

My burmese started playing fetch at 12 weeks, they’re so incredibly smart.

Now she brings her toy up while I’m a sleep at night, throws it at my head because she wants to play. She loves playing fetch and initiates the game every time.
I just love burmese, I’m definitely adding another to our family……

I love burmese kittens sooo much. Mine is a lilac and she’s 16 weeks old. I hate it when people say that cats aren’t as playful as dogs cuz that’s not true. Burmese are almost half dogs. My cat suki fetches, chases her tail, hides bones under my pillow and likes water. Bless them all. Your Burmese sure is very cute xD

@ancoloco Yes they are. My family had a burmese and it was a voracious hunter, it took down mice, rats and raided bird nests for eggs. Unfortunately he died chasing a squirrel across the road, which was sad because he was a super cat.

adorable! our ragdoll used to do this as a youngster, did your cat ever “grown out of doing this” ?

My Burmese cats have actually chased off dogs! The last dog was screaming and yelping down the road, we felt so sorry. The dog owner was absolutely perplexed! RIP Sassy Varsha Patel, six pounds of fury (and love).

@ancoloco Ours was a prolific hunter! I’d come come many many many times to find a mouse head staring at me at the front door step. Once (no joke), ours took down a rabbit, proceed to eat most all of it, four hours later. Then, our neighbor lady asked us to please keep our Burmese inside on easter, as it was chasing the bunnies, and otherwise traumatizing the morning/children.
