Hehehe it sounds like she is either dreaming or snoring! My cat does the same thing when she is in a deep sleep, nothing to worry about. Unless she is acting strange when she is awake too (not eating, listless, not drinking, not peeing, etc) then I would say she is just fine :-)

    Hi there,

Your kitten is more than likely dreaming, and may also be snoring as well. Here is an article about snoring, dreaming and funny noises that cats can make when they are sleeping.

Since it is time for you to take your kitten to the vet to get her first vaccinations, mention this to your vet. He/she is the best one to check on if this is totally normal, as it is in most cats.

Good luck with your new kitten. Enjoy watching her sleep!

My cat does the same thing, I think it is just that they are so tired! Kittens need a lot of sleep to grow and they get very busy and then drop. If she does it now she may grow out of it when she gets older or she may do it all her life.

Probably snoring, and/or dreaming! Does she kick or twitch as well? They do this when they’re dreaming. So long as she doesn’t make any weird noises when she’s awake doubt you have anything to worry about.

Mine does too! Isn’t it funny?

Its not abnormal for a cat to do this. Its kind of like people who snore, they can’t help it.

Mine even makes the noises when she isn’t sleeping. She goes "Ooook! Ooook! Ooook!"
