Introducing Bengal cat to a new kitten for first time in Orpington

See freyacat.co.uk for more news! This is a little film about Freya the 6 year old Bengal cat, and Teego, an 11 week old kitten meeting for the first time. Freya has always been a little bit timid

Loved your video! I really want to get a male kitten for my older female cat. She’s a similar breed to your cat, and she’ll be 6 years old when i finally am able to get another kitten. Any tips?

My female bengal cat (1 years old) have a hard time not chassing the new kitten (3 months) i have. She just want to get all over him, scare him, punch him with his paw or bite him. I watch them closely. Bengal are savage in their blood from the asian leopard cat. She seriously hunt him like he is a mouse or something she have the killer instinct and now i realize that. Anyway i hope for the best in the next days :) I saved a 3 months kitten so thats the most important for me!

oh ok so my cat is normal we just got a new kitten and the older cat does exactly like yours so I was concern that he might hurt the kitten alright no worries

Thanks for that! It gives me hope. Our bigger cat is hissing like a wild cat and looks like it wants to eat our new kitten at the moment!

Adult cat is bored!!….That is unfriendly to a kitten……Kitten is more friendly, likes to soicalize and plays with the toys…etc……Nonsense the damn adult cat!

@pchelp3 Tail wagging is a sign that a cat is angry or frustrated.

no offence but i would of flicked her nose every time she showed aggression to the kitten

@FeliciaL2287 I’m afraid I would consider that animal cruelty. Cat’s noses are 100s of times more sensitive than ours, and that’s an incredible over reaction for perfectly normal behaviour. That is not an acceptabl method of correction. The method we use is a very sharp “NO” that makes the cat jump!

Trying to punish natural behaviour can create many many problem issues with any animal, and is STRONGLY NOT recommended by me.

omg that’s too cute! I thought bengals were more enthousiastic in welcoming other cats!!! more territorial apparently… We can notice the home made cat tree where she used to climb! thanks for the vid

@FeliciaL2287 that works but as long as u would do the same for the kitten by doing that when she gets aggressive haha like thats gonna happen!

flicking a cats nose is not cruelty i have done it it many times with i brought a kitten home to a previous cat i owned and it makes them know that attacking a kitten is wrong
