Kitten Adoption – Kittens For Adoption

Most places like humane societies, shelters or pet stores won’t let anyone under the age of 18 adopt an animal. Most humane societies and shelters also won’t let you adopt until the animal has met all of the people living in the house and that everyone agrees to the adoption. If someone had a litter of kittens and you brought one home, you can do that at just about any age, but kittens need to be fixed and have shots, and that can cost hundreds of dollars, but when you get them from a humane society the shots and being fixed is included.
Most places that you adopt from will have a fairly standard form, about who lives in the house, their ages, allergies, and other animals you have in the house. Then they also have an adoption fee, that should include a vet checkup to make sure that the animal is healthy.
Animals are not cheep and they are not something that a child should be the primary caretaker for. If you have to ask about how old you need to be, you might not be old enough to adopt yet.

i think if you’re 18 or older you could adopt one. if you’re not, then you can go with your parents and then keep the kitten.

good luck with your kitty cat,

In order to adopt.. I’m pretty sure you have to be 18 or older.
& If you bring a parent willing to adopt, you both could go down a your local shelter & adopt.

You have to be 18 unless your parent adopts the animal. Check the the websites of your local animal shelter. I just got 2 wonderful kittens from the shelter. They probably would have been killed if I didn’t adopt them. Please don’t buy a cat EVER from a pet shop or a breeder. 1,000 animals are put down every day in animal shelters in the US alone. Please help adopt a pet that really needs a home.
Also, the kitten should be around 4 months old, and they should "fix" them for you. Boy kitties will spray urine if they aren’t neutered before a certain age.
Know that this is a huge responsibility. You will basically be the parent of this creature. Be good. Do more research!!!!!

If you’re adopting from a shelter, you’ll need to be at least 18. This is because you have to sign an adoption contract with the shelter, and only a legal adult can enter into a legally binding contract. The age of majority is 18. If you are 18 and want to adopt from a shelter, just go visit the cats up for adoption and fill out an application once you find one you like. Shelter staff will guide you from there. If you’re not 18 then you need to speak with your parents. They’ll have to be willing to commit to the cost and everything else involved in properly caring for a pet.
