Cute girly name for my Ragdoll kitten?

I have just put a deposit down on a beautiful Ragdoll kitten. She is a seal point so will be light in the body with the dark tips and blue eyes. I’m so excited!!!! I have to choose a name so the breeder can start calling her by name. I really want a cute, very girly name for her, any ideas? Also I have bought a litter tray and litter, food and food bowls, bed, scratching post, collar, brush and a few toys, is there anything else that I will need that I cant think of? Thanks heaps!!! :)
And the waiting 10 to 12 weeks is terrible!!! Can anyone tell me what stages she will go through for the 1st 10 weeks of her life? She will be 3 weeks tomorrow. I just wanted to know things like when will she open her eyes, when will she start to play more, and what age they get there vaccinations and all the other little things that I will miss. If anyone breeds cats or knows what kind of things they do in the early weeks I’d love to hear about it to tie me over, like I said, the waiting is awful. It’s like waiting for a child to be born!!!!! lol

I have two ragdolls, and they are wonderful.

I doubt you’ll want to use a collar on her though…cats typically don’t like to wear a collar, and medium to long haired cats look kinda awkward in them!

Kittens typically open their eyes at 10-14 days. I’ll warn you that ragdolls are very social. (That’s why I have two…my first one got so lonely at home alone all day).

Couple things to keep in mind about your new kitty– she’ll probably already be spayed (breeders are doing that early now, they tend to think that altering the cat early is better for them.)

You’ll take the cat right to the vet once you pick her up (if you haven’t already) to have her checked out and her shots charted.

Be careful with the toys you allow her to play with when you’re not around. Kittens can chew on stuff and choke quite easily. I have a few toys that I only let my boys have if I’m around. Also, kittens won’t start scratching until they’re typically 6 months old….also, the kitten coat won’t shed at all! But by Christmas you’ll be probably pulling your hair out!

And….as far as names go? Not sure….you pretty much have to decide whether you want to go human name, cutesy name, or standard kitten name route…then you can narrow it from there.

But if I were to get a female kitten, I’ve always liked the name Sheba or Cleo.

    Princess
    Twinkle
    Sparkle
    Babe
    Angel
    Fairy cake
    Pebbles
Also have you thought about anti scratching spay to stop her stratching places you dont want her to?
    flea and worming treatment?
good luck with your new friend

OK i would suggest rags as name and information on the other things that you want to know ask the breeder they can tell you and give you information on things that you need to know also after you get your kitten.

i know your going to have a great time with your kitten.
    good luck

I’m disappointed you didn’t adopt a kitten from the shelter. The last kitten I adopted was 5 months old. Siamese mix with long hair and gorgeous blue eyes. He’s 2 years old now and the sweetest cat I’ve ever had. All but one of the cats I’ve had over the years were adopted. The one was a freebee living in a barn.

You just would not believe all the cats in Humane Societies and City Pounds.

I bought my 7-yr old Ragdoll ex-breeder two years ago from a Ragdoll breeder in League City. Her name is Zsa Zsa Dolling and I just love it. Don’t mind if you copy but I’m not sure of the protocol among the "breeder-bunch." To me, Zsa Zsa is a wonderful pet. To them, she was $money$ and her name might be off limits. I have no idea. Good luck with your new little one. My advice – stick to the babies – don’t buy an older breeder mama. They don’t grow up with the same kind of love and affection that you will give your baby and that disadvantage seems never to go away. After two years I am still waiting for Zsa Zsa to jump onto my lap and say "Hello – I missed you today and I’m glad you’re home!" Judith

Ok these are cute to me because I am a Ragdoll breeder:

Seal of Approval – Aka Sela
Sealed with a Kiss – Aka Kissy
    Chocolate Kisses – Aka Kissy
Chocolate-tini – Aka Coco or Tini

You will need a spray bottle to keep the young one in line when she is doing something you don’t want her to. Kittens are like children they need boundries and limits. You need to teach her right from wrong as soon as you get her home.

Good luck with your new baby, You’ve made an excellent choice getting a Raggie.

I’m also getting a Ragdoll kitten – he turned 4 weeks old on 4/28. I hate the waiting too – but I know the longer he’s with his mama, the more he will learn from her. I haven’t picked out a name for him yet either. I have a few names you might want to consider:

    Tiramisu
    Persimmon
    Aphrodite

Good luck with your kitten! :D
