A year ago we had a big construction crew building a big addition onto our house.

-We were having a plumbing crew working on our bathtub- he was under it, laying on his back. My cat walked up to him, and immediately lay down on him and starting purring.

Another house renovation V.S. cat story-

When they first started, they had to build the floor, right? They build the foundation, then poured the cement, and left it overnight to harden. Guess who’s paw prints we found in the morning? LOL they had to start ALL over again…

I brought a bird home because it was just sitting in the middle of the road. It sat in my hand quietly until we got into my living room, at which point it promptly fluffed itself up and escaped my grasp and began flying around the room. The cat saw it and started chasing it, and happened not to notice that the aquarium lid was open. The cat fell into the aquarium, I opened the front door, and both the bird and the sopping wet cat tore out of it like demons were chasing them.

I had a very curious cat who had to be with me at all times no matter what I was doing. I was baking a cake one day and went to the refrigerator to take out some eggs and butter. I finished mixing the cake and put it in the oven. I saw the refrig door ajar and pushed it closed on my way out of the room. About 15 minutes later, my Mom stopped by and went to get a drink from the refrigerator. She opened the door and the cat flew out!! That was quite a surprise!! (and she was a really cool cat!!)

I had a cat with only one eye. We called him Popeye. Whenever I wanted him to come home, I whistled the Popeye the Sailorman song and he would come running home from where ever he was.

I have stairs in my house and at the bottom of the stairs is a rug on a slippery floor. My cat would run down the stairs and hit the brakes on the rug and slide on the floor, then straighten out the rug and do it again. It was hilarious to watch, very entertaining.

my cats love those lazer lights :D so when it died we tried the flash light. we didnt think it would work as well but we were very wrong :) she ran up the wall several time chasing it around the house :)

there was another time when i had lotion on and she didnt like the smell and continued to swat at me :) and sneeze.

    some other small moments:

trying to jump on to the window seal which is only an inch wide :)

jumping in the tub when the water was running and darting out as fast as she could

as a kitten she would hide in the couch cushions and try and attack the next person to sit down :)

I have a very unique kitten (7 months old now) who went through a period of time when I was convinced she would end her life. It started with me forgetting she was still in her harness when I left the house for 20 minutes. When I returned she had the harness stuck on her teeth and was choking to death. Needless to say I have never felt worse in my life. She was inseperable from me the rest of the night (altho she always is) and the following morning just as I was leaving for work I looked for her to say bye. I looked everywhere and I started to hear muffled meows. I checked the closets, the cabinets, even the dryer which I had just used. Finally, I found her in the fridge. She jumped in when I put up the butter. You would think I couldn’t miss that but she is super fast! She also went outside when a patient let her through the door at my mom’s medical office (and didn’t tell us she let her out—she is not an outdoor kitty!). Luckily a few minutes later I heard meowing and followed it to find her pacing the sidewalk waiting for me to let her in. I could go on and on–she loves to perch on my shoulder like a parrot and will stay there as long as I will let her. She now will jump from any distance to my shoulder if I just tap my shoulder. She is my cuddle bug and I love her to death!

Here’s a cute story, though it could have turned out badly if we hadn’t found my cat in a timely manner. I remember asking my mom if she has seen my kitten, Chloe, because I couldn’t find her in her usual hiding spots. My mom said she had just seen her in the kitchen, so we looked in the kitchen & in the adjoining rooms. Still, no Chloe. A couple minutes later I went to get something out of the fridge and I opened the door to see Chloe sitting amongst the milk and juice. She seemed pretty content, but then again, she hadn’t been in the fridge all that long.

I’ve also had cats that have fallen into the bath tub with me & one that tried to get a drink out of the toilet only to fall in.

Years ago, I had a snow white kitten — she would follow me around saying MOM (think Siamese deep throat sound), she would never really ‘meow’. When she was about 6-7 months old, she climbed under the covers on my bed — I got out of the shower and sat on the bed only to hear a muffled ‘mom’. Thank God it was a water bed! Then when she was about 5-6 yrs old, she rolled in the cool fireplace ashes while we were gone — we came home to a black cat! We had to bathe her in Dawn dish soap because the ashes were oily. She never went near the fireplace again. During the same time period, I was given a Cockatiel, which she thought was hers — until I caught her climbing my curtains trying to get to the bird. She did not hear me coming towards her and I grabbed her by the nap of the neck and popped her bum. I swear she thought the bird did it, because I could take him out of the cage and she would lay in my lap – NEVER looked at him, she would just lay with her back to him.

We have two beauties , one Himalayan and one Persian, both female. They love to run and play with each other , but on weekends, when we are all home they get more wound up than ever. One Saturday a couple of weeks ago they chased each other in circles until they both fell over , guess they got dizzy. They also , literally climb the walls. We have 8 foot ceilings and the Himilayian can literally jump about 6 feet up them. Dont ask me why she does this.

Well, when me and my sis were younger, my cat, who goes CRAZY when he sees a flag, were playing with our cat. I sat watching while my sister waved a flag in the air. "Hail Seaser." she said. (or something like that.) Again. "Hail Seasor." My cat just sat there looking bored. Then my sister screamed it, "HAIL SEASOR!" My cat jumped in suprise. But not a normal jump. He jumped with his fore-paws in the air and down, as if he was actually hailing a king or something! lol. If you actually saw it, it would be soooooo funny!!! Really!
